Overview of the Dayara Bugyal-

If you live in Delhi, the base point that is Raithal village is approximately a 10-12 hour drive, you can spend half or a day exploring the Raithal village itself.
The trek begins from Raithal, the first stretch is from Raithal to Gui (that is the base camp) which is approximately 4.5 km, the second stretch which is on day 3 is of approx 2.5 km from Gui to Chilapada. Day 4 is gonna be a long stretch as it involves an ascent from Chilapad to Dayara top and then a descent from Dayara top to Nayata, all this will be approximately 9.5 km. Day 5 is the descent from Nayata to Raithal again marking the end of the trek, the distance you will be covering will be 4 km. The difficulty of the trek-
This winter trek difficulty is easy to moderate, it is one of the easiest high-altitude treks that is recommended to beginners, families, and elderlies as it is not that tricky or steep climb.

Altitude
You are gonna be starting from an altitude of 7,142 feet, climbing all the way to 11,830 feet on day 4 then beginning the descent to Raithal. The trek involves quite a lot of ascent and descents throughout the trail, especially on Day 4.
Terrain
The terrain will not be a problem in this trek, till Gui the trail is simple and laid out, there will be forests along the path that consist mainly of green and brown oaks (moru and kharsu) and rhododendrons, you just have to follow it to reach the base camp. The campsite at Gui is located in a small clearing surrounded by forests.
As you leave the base camp to proceed toward Chilapada, you will witness a small meadow, chainas (shepherd) huts, and a pond. Gui Thatch is situated amidst the trail connecting Gui and Chilapada, offering stunning views of Shrikanth, Gangotri I, II, and III. If you gaze straight ahead, the majestic Jaonli peak comes into view, while on your left, you'll catch sight of the summit of Bandarpoonch.

Winter temperature
This trek can be done at any time of the year apart from monsoon, as it is a meadow there is no shade to hide from the rain hence it is not advisable to even try to trek in the months of July and August.
But this is a trek that is known for its view of other mountain summits in the Himalayan range, especially in winter, the meadow is really really big, the landscape changes with every season and it’s at its best in winter.
The daytime temperature lies between 8 to 12 degrees Celsius whereas at night it lies between -5 to -10 degrees Celsius, think layers!
